The paper analyses the characteristic features of the satirical creative works on the Balkans at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries. The utilitarian rationality of the comic in the Balkan reality and the specific development of the aesthetical processes in the Peninsula are proofed in the context of European cultural circle.
