Natalia Hristova

The Aesopian Language and its Translators

The question “when and by what reason is imposed the usage of the Aesopian language” has one brief answer: “when and because the liberty is deprived”.

From the beginning of the 60-th till the end of the 80-th of the 20-th century in Bulgaria begins the speech and the communication between the critically disposed writers, dramatic and movie authors in this language, rich of insinuations and other manners to conceal the direct meaning. By this way the authors protects themselves from the sanctions of the censorship and the human life in this metaworld became more reasonable and valuable.

For longtime he became a peculiar substitute of the missing liberty of speech and opposition against the negatives in the real socialist life.
